Indian Gas Limited (IGL), a large diversified group engaged in starting up the first SMART PORT at Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu, India that includes an LNG based Power Plant, Green Energy, and agribusiness operations have announced a joint venture to build own and operate their first CBG (compressed bio gas) facility at Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh with SRE group.
Sitapur Project is a Joint Venture between IGL and WTE BIO-SOLUTIONS INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED (PART OF SRE GROUP OF COMPANIES) AND IOCL AS PARTNER FOR CBG COMPRESSED BIOGAS PURCHASE.
This project will utilize
- 30,000 MTPY OF BAGASSE
- 30,000 MTPY OF PRESSED MUD
- 30,000 MTPY OF COW DUNG
- 30,000 MTPY OF AGRICULTURAL FARM RESIDUE
and generate ~45 MTPD OF CBG (COMRPESSED BIO GAS) WHICH WILL BE PURCHASED BY IOCL.
